
ACADIA (Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture) announces a specially organized workshop for NOMA (National Organization of Minority Architects) Student Chapters participating in the 2026 NOMA Barbara G. Laurie Design Student Competition: Historic Virginia Key Beach Park in Miami.

What is computational design? How can computational design be used to support the social, environmental, and material goals of an architectural and urban design project? How can computational design amplify the work of NOMAS teams working on visualization for their competition entries.
In this virtual workshop, Board Members of ACADIA will introduce students to computational design themes, conduct a series of short technical demonstrations, and share resources for further investigation and consideration of the topics presented.

Post Workshop ACADIAxNOMAS Computational Design Merit Award:
ACADIA will award selected competition entries incorporating computational approaches in design generation and/or evaluation.
